    Ja, es sind nur blöde Hitlisten, und nein, eigentlich bin ich nicht so ein Mit-dem-Fuß-Aufstampfer, aber warum tauchen nirgendwo die wirklich famosen Platten von The Fall Of Troy oder JR Ewing auf? Von wegen alternative Musik… Ja, Maximo Park und Bloc Party und Kaiser Chiefs und Art Brut und wie sie alle heißen machen ziemlich gute Musik, aber kann man wenigstens mal wieder EIN BISSCHEN von diesem Indi-Garage-Mainstream wegkommen?

    Ich bin verbittert. Ich wünsche mir mehr harte Musik, jenseits von Metalgedumpfe.

    Es gibt also, wenn ich mich nicht verzählt habe, laut den bisher (3. Januar) veröffentlichten Listen (wichtungsfrei kombiniert) 184 Titel (inkl. EPs) von 122 bzw. 192 Alben von 189 Interpreten (zusammen 233), die man im vergangenen Jahr gehört haben sollte. Wer ungefähr jeden zweiten Tag (alle 45 Stunden) eines dieser Alben gehört hat, brauchte dann nur noch etwa drei Stunden am Stück für die restlichen Titel. Bei diesem Pensum, das als Mindestmaß für eine qualifizierte Jahresbestenliste angesehen werden können dürfte, wird Musikhören wie Filmegucken zum Einwegwarenkonsum. Ergo gibt es keine auch nur annähernd objektiven Charts, da niemand genügend CDs gehört hat bzw. die gehörten nicht intensiv genug.

    Nichtsdestotrotz gefällt mir diese kompilierte Liste, soweit ich die Musik gehört habe, deutlich besser als das, was Media-Control so herausgefunden zu haben vorgibt.

    Interessant ja schon, dass in KEINER EINZIGEN der deutschen Kritikerlisten “Digital Ash In A Digital Urn” auftaucht. Eine solche kollektive Fehleinschätzung hat’s seit Jahren nicht mehr gegeben, zumal dieses Album ja nicht wirklich schwer zu übersehen war. Auch nirgends dabei: José González’ “Veneer”, immerhin 2005 in Deutschland erschienen.
